Singer Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, has released a video addressing the allegations that he bullied or had a hand in the death of his former signee, Mohbad. In the video, Naira Marley defended himself and provided his account of events.

According to the article, Naira Marley stated that he was acquitted by a Yaba Magistrate’s Court in February and was in Amsterdam at the time of Mohbad's death. He also claimed that he learned Mohbad was using an illegal substance called "Ice" in 2020. The singer also mentioned a previous suicide attempt by Mohbad in March 2022 and an incident where Mohbad accused him and his music label on a live Instagram video while experiencing a panic attack.

Naira Marley further detailed a dispute that arose in October 2022 when Mohbad attempted to leave the label, allegedly withdrawing $72,000 from a digital streaming platform account that Naira Marley claims was not his. He concluded by saying that Marlian Music is ready to release all of Mohbad's royalties to his family.
